Builth & District Running Club's 5th Annual Awards

As the venue for our club's 5th Annual Awards Dinner, held on Saturday, March 2nd, we at Strand Hall in Builth Wells were honored to host an evening of celebration and camaraderie. Amidst the festivities, one particular highlight was the Running Club-style Sophie Raffle, which added an element of excitement and surprise to the event.

The Sophie Raffle featured an array of fantastic prizes, generously provided by our sponsors and supporters. While many prizes were running-related, there were also a couple of unexpected curve balls thrown into the mix. Among these surprises was a golf lesson, offered by none other than our own club member and professional golf coach, Ali Hardaway.

Ali, who is based at Cradoc Golf Club, brought a unique dimension to the evening's offerings. With considerable experience in the professional golf arena, Ali now focuses his expertise on golf coaching, employing principles of body movement and biomechanics to help golfers improve their game. As a testament to his dedication, Ali not only works with club members but also extends his services to visitors, ensuring that everyone receives a warm Welsh welcome at Cradoc Golf Club.

For our club treasurer, Avril Susan Hardwick, winning the golf lesson prize means an opportunity to refine her golf swing under the guidance of a skilled professional like Ali. The prospect of honing her skills on the golf course adds an exciting twist to her involvement in our club's activities.

At Strand Hall, we take pride in hosting events that bring people together and create memorable experiences. The success of our 5th Annual Awards Dinner, punctuated by moments like the Sophie Raffle, underscores the spirit of community and camaraderie that defines our club.

As we look ahead, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to the evening's success, including our sponsors, supporters, and, of course, Ali Hardaway for his generous donation and commitment to enhancing the experiences of our club members.

Whether it's celebrating achievements, fostering connections, or embracing unexpected surprises, events like the Annual Awards Dinner remind us of the joy that comes from coming together as a community. Here's to many more memorable moments at Strand Hall in the days to come.
